What are the main characteristics of Total Brgiht Polyester Flame Retardant Yarn

     Total Brgiht Polyester Flame Retardant Yarn is a high-performance functional polyester yarn modified by adding brominated flame retardants. Its core characteristics are extremely high flame retardant efficiency, strong heat resistance, and long-lasting performance, but it releases bromine containing gases when burned, and its environmental friendliness is average.
1、 Core flame retardant properties (most prominent)
      Efficient flame retardant, self extinguishing upon ignition
Limiting Oxygen Index (LOI) ≥ 28%~34% (ordinary polyester only 21%), difficult to ignite in the event of fire, extremely slow burning speed, and instantly self extinguishing after leaving the flame, effectively preventing flame spread.
Heat resistance and droplet resistance
       It is not easy to soften at high temperatures and has fewer molten droplets, which can reduce secondary burns caused by high-temperature molten droplets.
Permanent flame retardancy
       By using copolymerization or blending spinning technology, bromine based flame retardants are evenly distributed inside the fibers, and the flame retardant performance remains basically unchanged after being washed at least 50 times.
2、 Physical and mechanical properties (retaining the advantages of polyester)
High strength, wear-resistant and durable
       The fracture strength is close to that of ordinary polyester, with good tensile, abrasion and wrinkle resistance, suitable for long-term and high-frequency use scenarios.
Stable size and not easily deformed
        Low thermal shrinkage rate, not easy to shrink or deform after washing and in high temperature environments, and the fabric is stiff.
Good chemical stability
        Acid resistant, alkali resistant, resistant to most organic solvents, mold resistant, suitable for harsh environments such as chemical and mining.
3、 Processing and usability performance
Good spinnability
        It can be spun pure or blended with cotton, wool, acrylic fiber, etc., suitable for various processes such as machine weaving, knitting, non-woven fabric, etc.
Excellent dyeing performance
        The fiber structure is relatively loose, with high dye uptake and good color fastness, and can be dyed with dispersed dyes at room temperature/high temperature.
Texture and appearance
        Similar to ordinary polyester, with moderate softness, smooth surface, and a flat appearance of the fabric.
