What are the advantages of High-strength Polyester Filament
The core advantages of High-strength Polyester Filament can be summarized as: high strength, high modulus, stable size, fatigue resistance, wear resistance, heat resistance, corrosion resistance, light weight, good insulation, very suitable for industrial heavy-duty and long-term service scenarios.
1、 Ultra high strength and high modulus (core)
Breaking strength: 7.0-9.2 cN/dtex (ordinary polyester only 3.5-4.0), close to nylon 66, and some ultra-high strength types can reach 8.5-9.2 cN/dtex.
Initial modulus: 100-150 cN/dtex, 30% -50% higher than ordinary polyester, with small deformation under stress and high stiffness.
The single wire strength can reach 800 MPa+, and the same load-bearing capacity is about 80% lighter than steel wire.
2、 Excellent dimensional stability (low shrinkage)
Dry heat shrinkage rate (180 ℃): ≤ 3% (ordinary polyester 8% -12%), high-end low shrinkage type can reach 1.5% -2.25%.
Creep resistance: It has minimal deformation under long-term stress, far superior to nylon, and is suitable for long-term tensile structures.
Heat processing is not easy to deform: after dyeing and finishing, the width/size is stable, and the pattern deformation rate can be reduced to less than 1%.
3、 Fatigue resistant, wear-resistant, and impact resistant
Resistance to repeated bending: crystallinity of 45% -50% (ordinary polyester ≈ 30%), bending fatigue times >100000 times.
Wear resistance: Low friction coefficient, high retention rate of long-term wear strength, suitable for conveyor belts and lifting belts.
Impact resistance: Good toughness, able to withstand instantaneous heavy load impact, not easily brittle.
4、 Heat resistant, aging resistant, UV resistant
Heat resistance: The melting point is about 260 ℃, and the long-term working temperature is stable at ≤ 180 ℃. It can withstand 230 ℃ for a short time.
Anti UV: After adding anti UV agents, the retention rate of outdoor long-term exposure strength is high, suitable for geotechnical and outdoor ropes.
Aging resistance: Long term use is not easy to pulverize, slow strength degradation, and the engineering life can reach 30 years+.
5、 Corrosion resistance, chemical resistance, and microbial resistance
Acid and alkali resistance: pH 3-12, stable environment, strength retention rate * *>92% * *.
Salt spray resistance and seawater resistance: non rusting, non corrosive, superior to steel, suitable for marine engineering.
Antimicrobial: No mold or insect infestation, long-term reliable underground/water conservancy environment.
6、 Lightweight, insulated, easy to process
The density is about 1.38 g/cm ³, lighter than steel wire and cheaper than aramid, with high cost-effectiveness.
Good electrical insulation: high breakdown voltage, suitable for electrical insulation and safety protection fields.
Easy to dye and weave: with good color fastness, it can be woven into various forms such as cloth, belt, rope, net, etc
